As Verato continues the transition toward the unified MDM Cloud experience, both interfaces—the current platform and the new MDM Cloud — will coexist for a period of time. Features and updates may be delivered to each interface independently, depending on where they provide the most value for customers during this transition.

UMPI Portal & Verato MDM Cloud

Patient Journey / Provider

New Features and Improvements

  • Verato added source metadata support to all customer-facing Person and Provider APIs.
Customers can now include optional details about the origin of a change — such as who initiated it in the source system, their full name, where the change was made, and the reason behind it (e.g., a patient admission or discharge). This enhanced traceability helps customers strengthen compliance, simplify audits, and gain more meaningful insight into their data activity making sure the added source information flows through to downstream systems.

Provider

New Features and Improvements

  • Verato expanded support for provider reference data by automatically inferring provider-to-provider relationships from trusted external sources. This enhancement improves provider network visibility, increases match confidence, and delivers richer context for downstream analytics. By surfacing how and why providers are connected, customers gain deeper insight into their provider networks and can make more informed operational and strategic decisions.

Patient Journey

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with householding where multiple households were being created with the same linkId, ensuring each household remains unique and customer data stays accurate.

Verato MDM Cloud

Identity

New Features and Improvements

  • Verato introduced governed identity field updates, allowing customers to edit identity attributes directly from the Verato MDM Cloud Platform. Now, authorized users can update attribute values in place through a streamlined, permission-controlled experience. Every edit is fully auditable, giving customers a clear trail of what changed, when, and by whom before and after it takes place — strengthening compliance and reducing reliance on technical teams for routine data corrections.
  • Verato launched a real-time Audit Log that gives customers a complete, chronological view of how identities are modified. Customers can filter and browse events directly in the Verato MDM Cloud Platform, reducing dependency on support for troubleshooting, strengthening audit readiness, and gaining the transparency they need to trust their identity data at every stage.
  • Verato enabled task assignment to user groups, giving customers more flexibility in how stewardship work is distributed. Tasks can now be automatically or manually assigned to an entire user group — not just individual users. This makes it easier for customers to balance workloads across teams by providing a unified assignment experience that streamlines task routing based on organizational structure.
  • Verato expanded the Consent attribute cluster in MDM data models to include approved communication channels and related persons. Now, the customers can manage exactly which contact method (like SMS, email, or phone) is approved for each consent, along with details about related individuals (such as caregivers or spouses) tied to those consents. This helps ensure communications are sent to the right person, at the right time, through the right channel.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with performing actions such as linking and merging of source records from the user interface, which was caused by mismatched casing between the API and MDM platform Now, actions work smoothly regardless of casing differences.

Connect

New Features and Improvements

  • The Pub/Sub HTTP Delivery mechanism -- in addition to Basic Authentication -- now supports OIDC JWT Bearer tokens for authentication. This allows Pub/Sub messages to be delivered to customer endpoints using industry best practices.
  • The Pub/Sub framework is now able to deliver Notifications. Previously only available via the searchNotifications service, Notifications can now be sent  to customers via HTTP in near real-time, easing customer integration and convenience.

Insights

Operational Insights

New Features and Improvements

  • Added a Close Date filter to Task Analyzer, allowing users to filter and report on tasks by the date they were closed, in addition to the existing Open Date filter. A banner is displayed whenever the Close Date filter is active, informing users that drill-down to Stewardship is unavailable across all charts while this filter is applied.
  • Updated the default date filter in Task Analysis from "All Time" to "Last 1 Year" to improve load performance. Users can still select a custom range to view older data.
  • Task Trend charts now use native line charts with zoom functionality, displaying weekly aggregation for date ranges up to 35 days and daily granularity for ranges up to 335 days.
  • Task Analysis now uses asynchronous processing with an increased query timeout of up to five minutes, reducing timeouts and improving performance for large datasets.
  • The label "[unavailable]" in the Task by Steward chart has been renamed to "[unassigned]" for improved clarity.
  • Updated chart descriptions for Average Response Time and P95 Response Time in User & Usage Analysis to clarify data availability and date range behavior.
  • Operational Report queries for Task, Identity, Source, and User & Usage Analysis have been migrated into Snowflake stored procedures, improving maintainability and enabling query updates without requiring other deployments.
  • Updated the loading behavior for Insight Reports. Reports now display a "Retrieving data. Your report will be ready shortly." message while Snowflake query results are being retrieved, and populate metrics only once real data is available. Removed the previous 45-second query timeout. Reports no longer display zeros when data has not yet been returned — the loading state persists until query results are successfully retrieved, ensuring users always see accurate values rather than misleading placeholders.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an error that occurred when two panes were prompted to open simultaneously. The previously open pane now closes automatically when a new pane is opened.
  • Fixed a task count mismatch between Task Charts (Level 2) and the Stewardship drill-down caused by a granularity inconsistency following Snowflake's transition from weekly to daily data aggregation.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when drilling down from the Task by Trigger Source chart (Level 2) into Stewardship.
  • Fixed the "Count of Sources Over Time" chart in Source Analysis to display a cumulative total rather than per-day counts, accurately reflecting source growth over time.

Verato Secure Data Share

New Features and Improvements

  • VERATO_REFERENCE_DEMOGRAPHICS_PRACTITIONERS has been updated to align with the Practitioner model and now includes a broader set of practitioner profile and demographic attributes for records matched between Verato Provider reference data and client data. Guide documentation has been updated accordingly.
  • VERATO_REFERENCE_DEMOGRAPHICS_HEALTH_FACILITIES is a new view containing current health facility profile and demographic data for records matched between Verato Provider reference data and client data. Guide documentation is available.
  • VERATO_PROSPECT_DEMOGRAPHICS_PRACTITIONERS is a new view containing current practitioner profile and demographic data for prospect records where Verato Provider reference data did not match client data. Guide documentation is available.
  • VERATO_PROSPECT_DEMOGRAPHICS_HEALTH_FACILITIES is a new view containing current health facility profile and demographic data for prospect records where Verato Provider reference data did not match client data. Guide documentation is available.
  • VERATO_REFERENCE_VERIFIED_ADDRESS_PRACTITIONERS is a new view containing verified and enriched address data for practitioner records matched between Verato Provider reference data and client data. Guide documentation is available.
