  • Release Date: December 9, 2025

This release brings improvements to both our current platform and the new Verato MDM Cloud experience—delivering greater usability, enhanced performance, and a more seamless path toward the future of identity data management.

As Verato continues the transition toward the unified MDM Cloud experience, both interfaces—the current platform and the new MDM Cloud — will coexist for a period of time. Features and updates may be delivered to each interface independently, depending on where they provide the most value for customers during this transition.

UMPI Portal

Patient Journey

New Features and Improvements

  • Verato has added a new configuration setting that preserves automatically-linked link IDs by prioritizing the link ID associated with records from the "best tier".
  • Verato now introduces enhanced configuration options that allow overlays to deactivate all previously active clusters on a Source + Native ID, but only when records are posted from designated sources. This builds on the original functionality released in May 2025.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some address verification bugs which prevented valid addresses from being verified and certain identities from being posted.
  • Updated behavior for reactivateSourceWs. When a previously deactivated source + nativeId is reactivated, the record is now correctly re-associated to its original LinkID rather than generating a new one.

Additionally, in the outbound notification payload (service = reactivateSource, type = sourceReactivated), the linkIdCreated field will now be set to null, reflecting that no new LinkID is assigned during reactivation.

This update ensures reactivation behavior is accurate and consistent with expected identity management workflows.

Verato MDM Cloud

New Features and Improvements

  • Identity API responses now return both the domain name and domain ID to provide clearer visibility into which domains identities are mapped to. This enhancement improves transparency for integrations and supports more precise downstream processing.

  • Added support for displaying both first asserted and last asserted dates in the Details tab under Attributes. Previously, only the last asserted date was shown.
  • Introduced Multi-Domain Foundation
Added a unified and flexible data model that supports Person, Provider, and Organization entities within a single Verato environment. This enables cross-domain governance, improved reporting, and more comprehensive analytics.
Includes: Updated Data Model · Ability to Map Sources to Multiple Domains · Code Sets

  • Enhanced Intelligence & Automation
Delivered new intelligent capabilities that automatically classify, validate, and prioritize identity data to reduce manual stewardship and improve accuracy.
Includes: Domain Inference + Post-Identity Validation · Inferring “Active Data” · Smart Stewardship

  • Expanded Transparency & Trust Capabilities
Added greater visibility into the matching process, including insight into why records were not auto-matched and which same-source records were retained or retired during manual merges. These improvements strengthen auditability and support confident stewardship decisions.
Includes: Match Transparency · Track Merge Lineage

  • Improved Experience & Usability
Introduced new search views and relationship visualizations to make identity data easier to explore and steward across the platform.
Includes: Customized Search Views · Relationships (Person-to-Person)

    • Verato Relationships™

      • Verato supports documenting person-to-person relationships—such as parent–child, next of kin, or dependent—directly within the Person entity, improving data context, visibility, and downstream use.

Note: Managing Person-to-Person relationships via UI is only available in MDM Cloud.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that prevented users from accessing Stewardship task queues. This fix restores proper navigation and ensures users can view and resolve tasks without interruption, even during active traffic.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when filtering tasks by date on the Stewardship module. Previously, selecting any time other than 12:00 AM for the current day caused the filter to fail. Task date filtering now works reliably for all valid time selections.
  • Fixed an issue with deleteAttributeValueUi that caused errors when attempting to remove a license value for Provider entity. Users can now successfully delete license attributes without encountering errors.
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to deactivate a Date of Birth (DOB) value on a Person entity. DOB values can now be deactivated without errors.
  • Fixed an issue where the phone typeDisplay appeared in lowercase in the Phone cluster. Phone types now display with the correct casing in the UI.
